Recap: Oglethorpe County Patriots vs. Pendleton Bulldogs
On Friday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Oglethorpe County had to settle for a 50-48 loss against Pendleton. Oglethorpe County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Pendleton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Gray, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Gray's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Garon Blalock, who scored 11 points.
Oglethorpe County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Pendleton, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Oglethorpe County and Thomson will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Thomson will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Pendleton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bleckley County at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th.
