Recap: East Tech Scarabs vs. John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles
There's no place like home for the East Tech Scarabs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 57-47 victory over John F. Kennedy on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for East Tech, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
George Thomas was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Copley, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
John F. Kennedy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jermaine Burson, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Damairus Logan, who scored eight points.
East Tech is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for John F. Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Tech won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bard Early College at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. One thing working in East Tech's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matches. As for John F.
