Recap: Brattleboro Bears vs. Burr & Burton Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hartford, the Brattleboro Bears were happy to have found some success on Friday. They slipped by Burr & Burton 52-51. That's another feather in the cap for Brattleboro, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Brattleboro's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Johnathon Haskins, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Oscar Korson, who scored 15 points.
Brattleboro's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Burr & Burton, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brattleboro will take on Mount Anthony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Burr & Burton, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Rutland at 7:00 p.m.
