Football Recap: Bledsoe County Comes Up Short

Bledsoe County fell victim to Stone Memorial and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Panthers 28-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-0 on March 7th.

Even if they lost, Bledsoe County's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Ever Walker was the leader with two.

Stone Memorial found their leader in sophomore Lauren Clark, who picked up 82 receiving yards and one score, and also threw for 58 yards and a pair of TDs.

Bledsoe County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Stone Memorial, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Bledsoe County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-12 victory against Rhea County on the 1st. As for Stone Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 42-13 win against Van Buren County on the 1st.
