Unbeatens Flint Hill (Oakton, Va.) and Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, La.) enter the postseason as the newest members of the MaxPreps Xcellent Top 25 National High School Volleyball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

Flint Hill, led by future Texas A&M Aggie Siron Hardy, has not needed a five-set match this season in winning all 28 of its matches. The Huskies have won 70 of 77 sets. Over the last two seasons, the Huskies have won 38 of their last 39 matches.

Flint Hill is the only Virginia team to be ranked in the Top 25 in the last three seasons and is one of six unbeaten teams in the Xcellent Rankings. The other unbeaten teams include Lewis-Palmer (Monument, Colo.), West Orange (Winter Garden, Fla.), Billings Senior (Billings, Mont.) and Bishop Shanahan (Downington, Pa.).

Teurlings enters the final week of the season with a 30-0 mark and begins its quest of its fifth-straight state championship next week. Teurlings, a D3 school, has wins over a trio of reigning state champions — D1 Mont Carmel (New Orleans,), D2 St. Thomas More (Lafayette, La.) and D4 Pope John Paul (Slidell, La.).

Teurlings has been pushed to five sets in just one match this season and has won 76 of 81 sets.

The biggest mover of the week is Torrey Pines (San Diego, Calif.), jumping seven spots and is now the highest ranked California team. Led by senior Jaden Whitmarsh, the Falcons have won 19 straight and most recently got revenge against Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) by winning the Santa Barbara Invitational. Two weeks ago, Torrey Pines won the California Challenge. It has lost just seven sets during the 19-match win streak.

Also new to the Top 25 this week is Connetquot (Bohemia, N.Y.), which handed previously unbeaten and ranked RHAM its first loss of the season. The Ti-Birds have won 19 in a row with their only loss being to Flint Hill, 2-1.

Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, Mich.) won the Williamston Invitational last weekend and ended the regular season winning 47-straight matches. During its winning stretch, Notre Dame has dropped two sets.

Reagan (San Antonio) remained No. 1 for the fourth-straight week after winning its 20th-straight match. The Rattlers go for win number 40 on Tuesday when they close out the regular season against crosstown rival Roosevelt, a winner just four times in 30 matches.

With Minooka (Ill.) falling for the first time in 25 matches and dropping to the lower tier of the Top 25, Marist (Chicago) is the new No. 2. Marist has won 25 straight.

Key match ups this week take place in a pair of state tournaments:

— Walton, ranked No. 1 much of this season, moves into the state 6A state semifinals with a Wednesday date against 37-4 Mill Creek (Hoschton, Ga.). The winners advance to Saturday's state championship match. Walton, which has lost four sets this season, has won 11 state titles.

— Providence (Clarksville, Ind.) faces 35-3 Avon (Ind.) in the semifinals of the Indiana 4A state tournament on Saturday. Providence has won 36 straight.

— Also on Saturday, Yorktown (Ind.) takes on 34-3 Crown Point (Ind.) in the Indiana 4A state tournament with the winner advancing to the Nov. 4 finals against the winner of the aforementioned Providence-Avon match. Crown Point has won 23 straight.
