Baseball Recap: Brookings Falls to Lincoln in First Game of Season

Brookings unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 16-2 to the Lincoln Patriots on Tuesday. The Bobcats have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Brookings saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyson Antonen, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Lincoln's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Brookings and Lincoln will both be playing Washington the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bobcats will host them at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
