Volleyball Recap: Union County Comes Up Short

Union County lost against Chapman back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. While the Yellowjackets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-21 in the first set.

Union County wouldn't go down easily and took Chapman into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-16, 15-8.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Chapman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Union County and Chapman will both be playing Woodruff the next time they take the court. The Panthers will host the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
