Basketball Recap: Custer County's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Custer County hadn't done well against Fergus recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Custer County Cowboys snuck past the Fergus Golden Eagles with a 46-41 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Cowboys, who have now won three contests in a row.

Despite the loss, Fergus saw an underclassman step up: freshman Madden Norslien went 7-for-16 to rack up 17 points and three steals. Lucas Golik was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Custer County's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fergus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Looking ahead, Custer County will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Sidney at 11:00 a.m. Custer County is facing Sidney at the right time seeing as Sidney is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Fergus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
