Baseball Game Preview: Coral Shores Hurricanes vs. Cardinal Newman Crusaders

For the second straight game, Coral Shores will face off against Cardinal Newman. The Hurricanes will square off against the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Coral Shores heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Monday. They lost 20-0 to Cardinal Newman. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Hurricanes were not able to get on the board.

For Cardinal Newman's part, Blake Anderson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Anderson has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Finn Duran, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Coral Shores, they moved to 19-4-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
