Basketball Recap: River View Comes Up Short

River View lost against Columbia on January 11th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The River View Panthers were outmatched by the Columbia Coyotes and fell 61-21. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Coyotes are ranked 99th).

River View has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Columbia, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the River View Panthers challenge the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
