Softball Recap: Plainview Triumphs

Plainview saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Ingram Moore Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Yaneli Jaramillo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Jakhai Gomez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Kaylee Sifuentes also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Plainview's record now sits at 4-7. As for Ingram Moore, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Coming up, Plainview will head out to take on Sunray at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ingram Moore, they will take on Anderson-Shiro in a tournament on Friday.
