Baseball Recap: St. Frederick Takes a Loss

St. Frederick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwood Falcons.

AIDEN MELNA was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. TYLER GARSEE was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four RBI.

Even though they lost, St. Frederick always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

St. Frederick's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Northwood, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Looking ahead, St. Frederick is taking a road trip to take on Ouachita Parish at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Florien at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
