Softball Game Preview: Cary Academy Chargers vs. Thales Academy Rolesville Knights

The Cary Academy Chargers will square off against the Thales Academy Rolesville Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thales Academy Rolesville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Cary Academy, who comes in off a win.

Cary Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Arendell Parrott Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Patriots on Thursday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by nine runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Thales Academy Rolesville came up short against East Wake Academy last Friday, falling 17-2.

Annabelle Macdonald made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Cary Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Cary Academy couldn't quite finish off Thales Academy Rolesville when the teams last played back in April of 2023 and fell 9-7. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
