Preview: Lake Creek vs. A&M Consolidated
The Lake Creek Lions will be playing at home against the A&M Consolidated Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Lake Creek gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They never let Magnolia onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. It was an even better day for Reid Robert as he scored three goals for his team.
Connor McAllister, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Lake Creek squad sat out for Monday's matchup. With McAllister sidelined, Lake Creek had to make some big changes to the lineup. And. Chandler Sutherland made the most of the opportunity, putting up an assist. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Meanwhile, A&M Consolidated has not lost a match since January 4th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Rudder.
The win makes it two in a row for Lake Creek and bumps their season record up to 8-2-1. As for A&M Consolidated, they pushed their record up to 9-1-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Lake Creek beat A&M Consolidated 2-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Does Lake Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will A&M Consolidated turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
