Baseball Recap: Mountain House Takes a Loss

Mountain House fell victim to Patterson and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Tommy Neri spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mountain House saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callahan Healy, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Mountain House and nudges their season record down to 6-20-1. As for Patterson, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Mountain House by a score of 7-1 later that day.
