Basketball Recap: Paige Gilmore's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Grace Community over All S

Grace Community was the 70-27 winner over All S when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Grace Community Cougars fell 53-41 to the All S Saints on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 694th, while the Saints are ranked 179th).

Grace Community lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Paige Gilmore, who went 5-for-9 on her way to 12 points in addition to five assists and five boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Kat Neal was another key player, going 5-for-6 to rack up 11 points.

Grace Community's defeat dropped their record down to 21-14. As for All S, they pushed their record up to 23-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Grace Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for All S, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-36 loss against Brook Hill on the 21st.
