Soccer Recap: New West Charter Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, New West Charter couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Burton Scorpions by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 4-0 to them when the teams met back in February of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

New West Charter's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Burton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1 record this season.

New West Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burton, they will challenge Hollywood at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.9 goals per game this season.
