Basketball Game Preview: Cassopolis Rangers vs. White Pigeon Chiefs

The Cassopolis Rangers will venture away from home to face off against the White Pigeon Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cassopolis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Cassopolis got the win against Decatur by a conclusive 58-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Cassopolis can attribute much of their success to Lucas Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals, and Tre Peterson Evans, who posted 15 points and three steals. Those nine steals gave Williams a new career-high. Ayden Gillam was another key player, putting up six points along with seven assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for White Pigeon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They took down Marcellus 72-57 on Tuesday.

Cassopolis' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for White Pigeon, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Cassopolis couldn't quite finish off White Pigeon in their previous meeting back in February and fell 76-74. Can Cassopolis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
