Archie Jones Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Thursday, Christian Brothers Academy got the W thanks in part to Archie Jones playing the best football he has all season. Jones threw for 368 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 41 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played.

The win for Christian Brothers Academy keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Jones and Christian Brothers Academy will head out to challenge Shaker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Two Receiving Touchdowns from Lucius Anderson

On Thursday, Christian Brothers Academy got the W thanks in part to Lucius Anderson playing the best football he has all season. Anderson wasn't messing around, picking up 244 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The match was his third straight with two or more receiving touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 57 yards.

On the season, Anderson has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 137.8 receiving yards per game.

David Newell Dazzles in Saratoga Springs Win

David Newell put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Thursday. He rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Saratoga Springs, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Newell and Saratoga Springs will take on Guilderland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
