Softball Recap: North Hollywood Takes Down Rancho Dominguez in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, North Hollywood rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Rancho Dominguez Lobos. Considering the Huskies have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

North Hollywood is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Rancho Dominguez, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-8.

Coming up, North Hollywood will face off against Hueneme at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight. Rancho Dominguez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
