Softball Recap: Reese Falls Short of Michigan Lutheran Seminary in the Playoffs

Reese and Michigan Lutheran Seminary squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Reese had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 8-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Rockets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Reese got a good showing from Riley Vondette, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Vondette a new career-low.

Reese's defeat dropped their record down to 20-16. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 29-9.

As of now, neither Reese nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
