Football Recap: Heathwood Hall Episcopal Takes a Loss

Heathwood Hall Episcopal lost against Florence Christian back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Highlanders and the Eagles were almost perfectly matched up, but the Highlanders suffered a 14-13 defeat. The loss put an end to the Highlanders' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the final result, he threw for 138 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 77 yards on only nine carries. 81 of Belk's passing yards were hauled in by Keon McKinnley, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Leading Florence Christian to victory were Andrew Miller and Brooks Poston. Miller rushed for 118 yards and one TD, while Poston rushed for 65 yards and one score.

Having lost for the first time this season, Heathwood Hall Episcopal fell to 2-1. As for Florence Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
