Basketball Recap: Thomas Stone Comes Up Short

Thomas Stone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 41-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Great Mills Hornets. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly eight points.

Great Mills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samantha Dyson, who posted eight points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of LAILA MURILLO, who had nine points.

Thomas Stone's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Great Mills, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

Looking ahead, Thomas Stone will welcome La Plata at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Great Mills, they will head out on the road to challenge Chopticon at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
