Baseball Recap: Buena Vista Takes a Loss

Buena Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Bryan Bears, falling 13-3. The Bison were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Anderson Craig made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Julian Ramiez was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Buena Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bryan, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Buena Vista is set to take on their familiar foe Omaha Northwest at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bryan will face off against rival Omaha South at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
