Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Valley). Their defense stepped up to hand the Rogers Pirates a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for East Valley, who have now won three contests in a row.

East Valley's record is now 5-3. As for Rogers, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coincidentally, East Valley and Rogers will both be playing West Valley the next time they take the pitch. The Knights will head out to face the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Pirates will host them at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
