Basketball Recap: Rochester Warriors vs. Castle Rock Rockets

The Rochester Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 58-18 win over Castle Rock at home. That looming 58-18 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Rochester yet this season.

Rochester's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mandy Andree-Cordell, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Andree-Cordell has scored all season. Grace Hoover was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.

Despite the loss, Castle Rock still got an impressive performance from Kelsey Poyner, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Rochester now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Castle Rock, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rochester will face off against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Black Hills is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season. As for Castle Rock, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Washington (Stevenson is ranked 222nd, while the Rockets are ranked 240th).
