Colleyville Heritage has gone a perfect 8-0 against Denton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Colleyville Heritage Panthers will challenge the Denton Broncos at 3:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Colleyville Heritage has four straight victories, Denton has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Colleyville Heritage beats Denton with four runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Colleyville Heritage beat Argyle on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-1.

Sammie Pham was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Pham was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Pham wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kira Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Colleyville Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, it looked like the Kentucky Derby when Denton duked it out with Grapevine on Tuesday. Denton came up short against Grapevine, falling 15-2. That's two games in a row now that the Broncos have lost by exactly 13 runs.

The win got Colleyville Heritage back to even at 7-7-1. As for Denton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10-1.

Colleyville Heritage took their victory against Denton when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 19-3. Will Colleyville Heritage repeat their success, or does Denton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
