Soccer Game Preview: Seneca vs. Berea

The Seneca Bobcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Berea Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seneca will be strutting in after a win while Berea will be coming in after a loss.

Seneca will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Blue Ridge on Tuesday. Seneca was the clear victor by a 6-2 margin over Blue Ridge. With Seneca ahead 5-1 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Berea came up short against Daniel on Tuesday and fell 5-3. While losing is never fun, Berea can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Daniel are ranked 12th).

Geyser Fabricio Lopez and Owen Ramirez scored all three of Berea's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Seneca has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four games. Berea dropped their record down to 2-5-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
