Football Recap: Brandon Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Brandon is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Clay-Chalkville. The Bulldogs were dealt a 47-15 loss at the hands of the Cougars.

Aaron Frye produced another solid performance rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 177 yards and a pair of TDs for Clay-Chalkville. The Cougars' leading receiver Corey Barber was Frye's top target yet again, picking up 80 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Brandon's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2. As for Clay-Chalkville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brandon will take on Starkville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clay-Chalkville, they will face off against Thompson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 849 yards in their previous games.
