Baseball Recap: Stanton Takes a Loss

Stanton lost against Denver City back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Buffaloes fell 6-2 to the Mustangs. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stanton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaedyn Martinez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Stanton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Denver City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stanton will square off against rival Compass Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Denver City is set to take on their familiar foe Coahoma at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
