Basketball Recap: Scotland/Menno Comes Up Short

Scotland/Menno fought the good fight in their overtime game against Bridgewater/Emery on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 75-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bridgewater/Emery Huskies. The Trappers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Scotland/Menno lost, don't look at Izayah Ulmer. Despite the final result, he posted 21 points and three steals. Ulmer has become a key player for Scotland/Menno: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 1-13 otherwise. Jarret Andretta also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Even though they lost, Scotland/Menno was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Scotland/Menno's record now sits at 3-14. As for Bridgewater/Emery, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scotland/Menno won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Viborg/Hurley at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bridgewater/Emery, they are taking a road trip to face off against Mitchell Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
