Baseball Recap: Somerset Berkley Regional Comes Up Short

Somerset Berkley Regional was the 3-2 winner over Greater New Bedford RVT when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell 5-1 to the Bears on Thursday.

Somerset Berkley Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Sherman Jr., who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Jacoby Davidson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Somerset Berkley Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Greater New Bedford RVT, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Somerset Berkley Regional is set to square off against their familiar foe Apponequet Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Greater New Bedford RVT will take on rival Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
