Softball Recap: Tecumseh Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

The Tecumseh Indians got the win against the Western Panthers on Thursday by a conclusive 13-3. Considering the Indians have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Tecumseh got a great performance from Kennedi Fulton as she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave Fulton a new career-high.

At the plate, Maya Juozapaitis was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Kilbarger, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Tecumseh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.

Tecumseh has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Western, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Tecumseh will square off against Saline at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Western, they are taking a road trip to challenge Homer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
