Soccer Recap: Eagle Rock Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bravo last Friday, Eagle Rock came back down to earth. The Eagle Rock Eagles fell just short of the Marshall Barristers by a score of 2-1 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 599th, while the Barristers are ranked 260th).

Eagle Rock's goal came courtesy of Arturo Solorzano, who's now up to eight this season.

Eagle Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Marshall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Eagle Rock didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Lincoln on the 12th. Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
