Great Bridge faced Western Branch in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bruins by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but Great Bridge sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Audrey Orrock and Megan Ireland scored all three of Great Bridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Great Bridge pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for Western Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coming up, Great Bridge will head out to face off against Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Bridge's defense better be ready for this one: Hickory have averaged an impressive 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Western Branch, they will challenge Indian River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
