Volleyball Recap: Tri-Point Chargers vs. Donovan Wildcats

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tri-Point had no problem doing just that on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Donovan Wildcats 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Tri-Point got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 25-23.

Kasi Hughes paced Tri-Point's offense, picking up 14 kills. Hughes got some help from Alli Schuette and her 12 assists. Kadie Hummel controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Tri-Point's victory bumped their record up to 8-23. As for Donovan, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

Tri-Point has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Cissna Park on the 29th. Donovan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
