Softball Recap: Tuslaw Comes Up Short

If Tuslaw was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Beachwood last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell 11-8 to the Columbiana Clippers on Tuesday.

Hailey Carano and Kaydence Chapman did some serious damage despite the final result: Carano went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Chapman went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and one RBI. Chapman is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kailey Valentine, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Tuslaw's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Columbiana, their victory was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-7.

As of now, neither Tuslaw nor the Clippers have any future games scheduled.
