Volleyball Recap: Woods Cross Comes Up Short

Woods Cross lost against Bountiful back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the RedHawks, falling 3-0. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-16.

Khang Tran paced Woods Cross' offense, picking up five kills. Tran got some help from Clayton Schmitt and his six assists.

Woods Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bountiful, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Woods Cross is set to square off against their familiar foe Clearfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bountiful will face off against rival Bonneville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
