McAllen Memorial was the 2-0 winner over Steele when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

McAllen Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Steele, their win bumped their record up to 15-13.

McAllen Memorial is on the road again on Saturday to play Davenport at 11:00 a.m. As for Steele, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pieper at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
