Football Recap: Mason Jordan and Jeremiah Christian Secure Win for Montgomery

Montgomery's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over the Pickering Red Devils. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Montgomery was led to victory by Jeremiah Christian and Mason Jordan. Christian gained 145 total yards and two touchdowns, while Jordan threw for 228 yards and three TDs while completing 86.7% of his passes. Christian got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 62 yards.

Montgomery didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kayden Goodling and Eli Bullock.

The win got Montgomery back to even at 1-1. As for Pickering, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery will take on Elton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pickering, they will challenge Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
