Basketball Recap: Destiny Lunan Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Millennium had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They managed a 50-45 victory over the Desert Vista Thunder. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now won three in a row.

Millennium's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Destiny Lunan, who shot 41% from the field to rack up 16 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Lunan is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dashia Richardson, who posted 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Millennium's record is now 23-6. As for Desert Vista, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 16-13 record.

Millennium didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-31 victory against Valley Vista on the 8th. Desert Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
