Kerwin Squire Jr. Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Kerwin Squire Jr. produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Stratford to the win on Friday. Squire Jr. rushed for 191 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (108.3) per game.
Stratford has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Squire Jr. and Stratford will challenge Cane Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lucy Beckham Gets a Boost from Ballard in 42-38 Loss
Lucy Beckham had to settle for second on Friday, but Chalmers Ballard sure wasn't going down easily. Stratford had no answer to Ballard as he rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. Ballard has become a key player for Lucy Beckham: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
On the year, Ballard has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 173.6 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to nine.

Jachin Davis Dazzles in Stratford Victory
The second Stratford player making an appearance here is Jachin Davis, and for good reason. He rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 261 yards while completing 75% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
On the year, Davis has averaged 182.4 passing yards per game.

Stone Came Up Big in Wando's 28-21 Victory
Harris Stone was a major factor in Wando's win over Cane Bay on Friday. Stone did his part (and then some), throwing for 223 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 48 yards for the 'W'.
For the season, Stone has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 172.9 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had three passing touchdowns.

Michael Jenkins put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He made three total tackles. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 82 yards.
