Centennial strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Alamogordo Tigers. Four seems to be a good number for the Hawks as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Trevor Alons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Centennial's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mateo Marquez, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Centennial's record is now 13-0. As for Alamogordo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Centennial beat the Tigers by a score of 8-5 later that day.
