Flag Football Recap: Oakdale Comes Up Short

Oakdale was the 35-24 winner over East Union when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs lost to the Lancers on the road by a 24-6 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Lancers are ranked 154th).

Oakdale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for East Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

While Oakdale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
