Volleyball Recap: Nazareth Academy Roadrunners vs. Saint Viator Lions
Nazareth Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Viator Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Roadrunners of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Nazareth Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Saint Viator work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 27-25.
Nazareth Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-24. As for Saint Viator, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 21-6.
After both having extra time off, Nazareth Academy and Benet Academy will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benet Academy will roll in looking for their 29th straight victory, something Nazareth Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saint Viator, they are on the road again on Friday to play Lake Zurich at 5:00 p.m.
