Soccer Recap: Warren Township vs. Lake Forest
After flying high against Indian Trail last Thursday, Warren Township came back down to earth. The Warren Township Blue Devils fell just short of the Lake Forest Scouts by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scouts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Warren Township's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1. As for Lake Forest, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warren Township will challenge Grayslake Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Grayslake Central's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lake Forest, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Glenbrook South at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Glenbrook South is coming into the contest with four straight wins on the road, so Lake Forest will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
