Basketball Recap: Bonham Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Bonham Warriors were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-47 to the Pleasant Grove Hawks.

Bonham's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Pleasant Grove, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-7.

Bonham and Pleasant Grove could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Bonham (ranked 651st) will meet North Lamar (ranked 169th) at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Pleasant Grove will square off against Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 331 places (464 vs. 133).
