Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Franklin's offense. They came up short against the Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles on Friday, falling 9-0. The Tornadoes haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Franklin will challenge rival Concord Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Portsmouth Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Mascenic Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
