            Volleyball Recap: Triopia/Virginia Trojans vs. Auburn Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Triopia/Virginia dropped to 12-6 on Monday, ending the team's four-match streak of wins at home. They fell just short of Auburn by a score of  2-1. While Triopia/Virginia didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Auburn  25-18 in the first  set.
Triopia/Virginia's offense was headlined by  Payten Petefish and  Mylee Tracy, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from  Lucie Dion and her 17 assists.  Ava Petefish controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
As for Auburn, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record  this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory they have posted  since September 11th.
 Auburn found their leader in sophomore  Quincy Grider, who  had 17  digs and one  assist.
 Triopia/Virginia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  2-0  win against Routt Catholic on the 23rd. As for Auburn, they have also already played their next contest,  a  2-1  defeat against Pleasant Plains on the 23rd.
