Oak Hill has gone a perfect 8-0 against Northfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Golden Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Norsemen at 5:00 p.m. Oak Hill will be strutting in after a victory while Northfield will be coming in after a defeat.

Oak Hill was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Manchester 6-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Northfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maconaquah.

Bella Myers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Copeland, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Oak Hill is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Northfield, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Everything went Oak Hill's way against Northfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Oak Hill made off with a 16-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
